About

I started playing drums at age 13, under the guidance of Bolivian jazz drummer Daniel Zegada. A few years later, I enrolled in the National Conservatory of my native Bolivia where I studied for one year.
Finishing high school, I moved to Mexico City to study Music Performance at Academia de Música Fermatta. In Mexico, I co-founded "La Especialidad de la Casa" alongside my brother Juan Pablo, and the band went along to record and tour with many prominent artists in the country. After a two year period in Mexico, I transferred to Boston's Berklee College of Music to further my music studies. I graduated in 2012 and relocated to Brooklyn, NY.
Since moving to New York, I've performed and recorded with various artists, and toured within the USA, Canada, Mexico, Europe and Australia.
